"I hope you realize that's a foot or so too short."

"Yeah, can't you climb a foot or so?"

"Here? Heck naw! The sides of the pit are slippery. Trust me, I've tried jumping up there already; There's no way to get a firm grip."

I go back to notching that ladder in the log. I'm actually maybe 2 or 3 notches below the top of the hole, and the ladder's almost completed!

I've been wondering what you guys think of my little forum game.

So stop making me wonder and tell me what you think of this.

I wake up and find out that the fire is still not out! Excellent. But so I don't waste logs, I put out the fire, I don't need it until night time.

I get up and walk out. I realise that I should get a real bed instead of the cold cave floor. So I decide to get these vines and bamboo. I firmly place 2 bamboo in the ground at a reasonable distance. then I start using my boy-scout-knot-skills and start tying the vines into a hammock. When I am done, I test it out and get on top of it, EXCELLENT, it doesn't break! It's very comfortable.

After making my bed, I go outside and decide to find a good walking stick...I look for certain types of trees. But alas, I find no walking stick. But I found a good straight stick, perfect for a spear if I find a good head.

Accomplishments: Made bed, found spear staff.

I love this. I can imagine it being a fun little crazy game where we build houses in one second with no wood..but you decided to make it into a cool storyline community game. I love this...

*hears screaming for help in the distance*

Hmm, I better go follow that.

(some time later)

Well, the screaming is leading me this pit... That bushido and some other guy are in.

:(

Oh and bushido, update the community store and my accomplishments, I made a treehouse with a fireproofed roof and I found a way to fireproof things. Plus I put the remaining of the special fireproofing mud in the community store.

"We aren't screaming, William."

And by total coincidence, the ladder finished a few seconds ago, and now I'm contemplating the rest of the storage pit's structural design. One thing is certain; I'll need a beer bottle.

"... Then what the hell was I hearing?"

"Well, I could help a bit, just let me get my climbing shoes on"

"I think you were either hearing a dead wolf, something falling, or your getting 'Island Fever'."

A few seconds after my initial escape from my pit, I jump almost instantly back in against my better judgment and grab my knife-blade-thing, the remnants of the bear and ox, and a few sticks and bones.

After I start skinning the bear and ox completely, I have just enough furs skinned to cover the top of the pit, and than some. Springing into action I stab three of the five bone-spikes that I have into the ground, stretching the fur over the pit. Than, stabbing the last 2 about two feet away from the log ladder, I create a kind of tarp that serves two functions; A roof for the pit/shelter, which already is several functions in itself, and is a trapdoor into the pit.

After a few seconds of further thought, I manage to replace my old, semi-flimsy wood-and-vine handle with a new, less flimsy solid bone handle, by stabbing the blade into a femur. Although now the blade is less visible, it's alot more firmly stuck to the handle.

"Oh yeah, and I have this mud for fireproofing to put in the storage pit."

"I don't think you can store mud.. We'll have to find a use for it, or a liquid container to put it into."

Almost instantly after mentioning "Liquid", I spring into action, and I promptly leave for the beach. After maybe twenty or thirty minutes, I come back with a three plastic bottles, and for some reason, a few lengths of metal pipe, along with a large mass of clearly useless junk, like scraps of plastic and rubber.

Freakin' litterers.

Found; A Few Plastic Bottles
Found; Some almost-useless litter
Found; A few metal pipes

...
How the hell do you think I carried it here?

*In a cave with some food and a dead bear*

*Eats some fruit*
I have food for only 2 more time
Skins the bair to have "Bear skin"
Cuts the Bear skin to make:
3 Hairy Sacks
And "Backpack base" All i need now is some string to make it a useable backpack

Got; 3 Hairy sacks and Backpack base
Lost; Some fruit

Night's fallen quickly, and judging by the darkness outside I'd openly suggest it's about 9 o'clock, a good time to go to sleep for the night, and be awake and ready to potentially maim any animal I need to. But, before I go to sleep, I notch a quick mark in one of the logs that keep the pit shelter stable, to mark down the first day of being stranded. As I drift off to sleep, I begin to remember what happened today...

     03/18/X6

Today, a few friends, strangers, and I got trapped on an island. Most of us were unscathed in the shipwreck that landed us here, except for one of us who got a broken arm. He's fine now, though, his arm is in a splint and he's living happily in a cave somewhere near our camp. Luck was really on my side today; I found logs, companions, created a shelter, and found food, but I'm not sure how tommorow will fare. I mean, we're on a remote island, probably somewhere in the pacific, with no way back to civilization.. I suppose it can't get much worse than that, and the Lord was kind enough to have pity on us. Wedge got alot of good ideas today, and made a water purifier out of a coffee can, a camera bag, some sticks, and I think a lens. I also had a few good sparks, and I created a fire maker, no pun intented, and William made a great flashlight to use for cave spelunking. I also found a very shiny raw metal today, while I was making my shelter; It's really nothing like I've ever seen before. It's green, shiny, and almost transparent, while still being more solid than my stone knife. I suppose that doesn't say much because my stone knife is, in fact, made of stone, but I guess it really doesn't matter.

All in all, I can't say today was bad. If anything it was a great start to the undeniably grueling ordeal that we're almost sure to have. Our luck may change for the worse or the better, but we'll make it through, hopefully.

...I suddenly feel alot less manly.

Luckily, today's ordeal is done, and I can peacefully go to sleep.

Day One completed!

AAAH! SAPPY LOG ENTRY AM SAPPY! It almost came out like the end paragraph of a really awesome, but somewhat saddening, novel!
