That is most definitely not what he's saying.
Alright, I misread before. Its after midnight so its easy to do so.

its fine

It would be a lot easier for actual protestors to not get caught up with rioters if they just stayed in one place, and had a sit-down protest.
Or protested on the outside of town, rather than in the middle of the town.
Sure you might not have the same image, but your point will still get across and you won't facilitate the criminals hiding in your numbers.

And it would also be a lot easier if all the actual protestors left at night.
Go and clear the streets for a while and get some rest. Let the police deal with those rioters who continue and try and deal with the damage caused by them.
Then come out calmly in the daytime.

that would be ideal but man are they angry

Angry protesting doesn't work.
People always get too angry, and it soon turns violent and facilitates rioting.

I understand being angry at the outcome of this, but they should prioritise things first.
What's more important?
Protesting about the outcome while others abuse the protest to riot and loot.
Or
Keeping your town and community in one piece.

It's not like you can't protest later on in a calmer atmosphere.
Any good person out there protesting should get a level-head and go home. They're not helping anyone.
They can do more later when their town isn't a warzone.

It's funny to think they blame this on the police.

yeah no i agree

on a semi-related note a bunch of people are now claiming that MLK's peaceful protest methods are bullstuff, because he got shot in the end, and i dont know how you can associate yourself with people who claim to be peaceful protesters if you say that.

All these protesters are doing is convincing the rest of the world that they should firebomb Ferguson.

If things were peaceful, there would be no media coverage. The real protesters need to ride the wave of violence if they want to be heard.

Well that's the fault of the media.

jesus

Media coverage is helping absolutely no one at this moment in time.

There is absolutely no outcome that can come from this protest at this moment in time.
The court is hardly going to say "Oh wait, hang on, let's reconvene because everyone is angry outside!".
Protesting now does nothing. It won't make a difference because there is nothing to be done right now. It's too soon.

Protesting later on, when tensions are lower, say in January or February, peacefully, will bring this back into the spotlight and show the public demand.
The protest doesn't have to be violent to draw in the media. The media just happen to flock to anything violent.
They'll come to a large peaceful protest too.

The parade is going to happen and nobody watching on TV will even notice a difference. Won't even be discussed on Tv

A girl at school had tickets to a concert in Delwood (near Ferguson). The concert was cancelled and she had bought two $100 tickets (front row and center). Her money was of course refunded, but she also cannot easily just find another location where the band plays plus get seats that great.
