Author Topic: My dad's been picked up by an Ambulance  (Read 2210 times)

About 10-20 minutes ago we were stringing lights around a tree in our front yard, when all of the sudden my dad let's go of the lights and begins grabbing his chest, he sat down and began looking like he was about to throw up or something.

He said he felt light of breath, I got my mom and we stood around him for a few minutes and finally decided to call EMS.

They just got here and picked him up. Me and my sister are staying at the house, and my grandmother is coming to watch us.

Please keep me and my family in your thoughts, that was quite stressful. I'll be posting updates as I get news.

Oh my. I hope your dad is OK.

:/

It might have been a heart attack or a stroke

I hope he's okay.

If he was talking and able to move his arms about it likely wasn't a stroke.
Those tend to incapacitate a person.

I hope your dad is fine and recovers quickly.

Do you want me to pray for you? Or are you an atheist/other religion?

my entire family is christian (except myself) but feel free to pray for us.

also a quick update, they were running some tests in the ambulance before taking off and they didn't see anything major. I guess only time will tell.

He's just being considerate, lay off him.

You don't get incapacitated from a stroke. Always remember FAST:

Face drooping
Arm weakness
Speech difficulty
Time to call 911

you're handicapped.

Not exactly sure it was a stroke, because he was having chest pain, was short of breath, and apparently felt cold.

Hope he's alright. Keeping your family in my thoughts

strokes are terrifying, i remember when my grandma had a stroke she was working and she was talking to a client and suddenly she was unable to talk in any fashion, as if she forgot how to.

you're handicapped.
what the hell is your problem.

OT: I hope your Dad's alright OP.
