There is a mysterious looking ZIP file in my Add-Ons folder, I can't open it either. wat is it?

have you tried making it a .txt file?
everything in computing can be expressed text, although it might not be human readable.

You don't know what you're talking about.

It is standard in Windows 7 for some reason.
Bad security risk if you ask me.
It is always one of the first things I turn on after I installed Windows.

OT: Either you have placed it there yourself for what ever reason, or it is a glitch.
Either way, just delete it.

There are multiple possible reasons this happened:
  • A mod downloaded a file, but no file name was specified (causing the corrupted zip file)
  • A mod used Support_Updater incorrectly
  • You used one of those RTB downloader things and somehow it ended up like that

I like how windows doesn't flip out about empty file names. Which you cant even do normally without modifying it with a program.

It's probably not something incredible, it's only 1KB. I'm assuming it has to do with the command prompt thing.
