A while ago the creator of lolbot made a blockbot for blockland-related images but was under the impression that doing so would give him a free pass to troll these forums without repercussion or something. I think he got banned, flipped out and deleted blockbot.
I don't really get what these sites are for but that's probably what the reference is. I don't know if he added it in at the same time that blockbot was created and just forgot to delete it when he deleted blockbot, or if he added it before/after that event.
He actually didn't delete blockbot immediately after he got banned from here. It wasn't long after, but it wasn't straight away. It probably was in part due to the animosity between him and us, but blockbot also had really poor upload rates, so he decided it wasn't worth keeping around.
In all fairness though, blockbot wasn't needed, since he created it because he noticed his site was popular on here, when about 5 or so screenshots of funny things on the forums were uploaded.
And he decided to create a 'bot' entirely for us. He asked the forums if we wanted it, and most people either didn't have a clue what he was on about, or were sort of "'meh, whatever" about it.
If you visit carolcat's Blockland Forums tumblr, which is linked to in the Tumblr megathread, she actually does a better job of collecting (and receiving) funny Blockland related things than blockbot did.
There's also a chance lolbot/everyboty will shut down in the near future too, I think?
Google, who provides their adverts and adrevenue have stopped providing adverts and funding them on lolbot (but continue on other bots) because apparantly they don't produce enough original content, or their website seems like it's just randomly generating pages, rather than providing any actual content.
And lolbots revenue provides about 90% of their income required for hosting the website.
