holy forget that was wayyy better than I thought it'd be. borderline amazing. almost on par with Saving Private Ryan. anyone else seen this movie yet?

I saw it a few weeks ago, I loving loved it

Funny thing is, I rented saving Private Ryan from Netflix and I'm going to watch it tomorrow

Saw it and it was gr8 m8

the guy's hair is gay but it looks good

One of the best movies I've seen so far

I heard there's a part where there's just pak40 shells bouncing off the tank

and another where there's just guys running at the tank with  panzerfausts (which would never happen)

Other than that I heard it was good

It's a movie....

There's also the part where the tiger cannot penetrate the side armour of a sherman twice.

What a shame that the tank warfare was complete crap. Shermans bouncing 88L/56 shells and PaK 40 shells? Haha you wish hollywood. That movie wouldve been over in an instant.

It is cool to see Tiger 131 in working order though.

A movie that tries to be realistic and fails it seems

i went to the theatre with a bunch of friends and we watched it. it was glorious. i generally felt bad for that guy who lost his girl to artillery fire.

apparently they used a legitimate tiger 131 that was untouched as a scale model for the filming.

It doesn't even try at all to be realistic.
I find that to be its biggest downfall. A movie like Saving Private Ryan did a much better job at actually portraying the horrors of war. Fury just shot star wars lazer tracers everywhere and partied off the fact that some people thought shermans were not paper thin coffins.

and yes Ceist, they used the only working Tiger in da world. Thanks based bovington tank museum.

Or maybe a movie trying to be a movie

if you're gonna argue about whether a movie is realistic you're being pathetic. it's a movie. it's to appeal the crowd.

if you want to start a stupid debate, do it elsewhere pl0x.

If I remember correctly only one of the Pak40's ricocheted, the rest of them penetrated the other Shermans.

i found it to be legitimately saddening. I was hoping for a cool movie about tank warfare and how horrible it actually was. not a wierd hollywood investor sink.

oh well. it certainly wasnt a terribad movie if i came off like that. it was just one that didn't really fulfill mine, or a lot of other tank enthusiasts expectations. oh well, maybe something will pop up one day
