>> wtf is a Mario Maker

Mario Maker is a game where you create your own Mario courses, without hacking a pre-existing game or making a fangame, go wild.

>> why isnt this already done

Because you can't make Lakitus that stuff out Hammer Bros. or an infinite tower of flying Piranha Plants in those two things.

You can also switch layouts, for example, instead of Super Mario Bros. you can switch to Super Mario World or New Super Mario Bros. U. and play SMB levels in those games.

So wait
If you pick... hm... a Mario 3 theme, will you be able to add Mario 3 power ups to make it play like Mario 3 - or will it just play like any other platformer?

There will be Mario 3 powerups in the Mario 3 theme. Not sure about others, though.

But wait... The SMW eye-boxes don't work the same way as the standard brick-boxes.

Will they be different depending on what theme you're using?
