I think you should add ^

Add... what? The things I've already added?

Also here's the post again because immediate page loss:

After a two-month delay in progress, the police interceptor now has all of the animations the standard crown vic had!

...I'm sorry.

Give me feedback on Barnabas-style flat flare images:

iunno, they look a bit....... splotchy? blurry?

Will there be flares for the brake lights?

Because I think it will look better without the flares for brake lights.

I agree. The flares will just be for the police lights

I won't be able to make any more progress this weekend, but I'll say it's getting closer now. I need to set up a way (or two) to trigger the lights and siren separately.

One way, which I'm going to attempt no matter what, is to create buttons inside the vehicle which can only be activated (with the help of interactive vehicle support) by the driver or the first passenger. However, there definitely should be at least one other way to activate them, as IVS doesn't work so well when you're on the move (and the co-driver should be able to turn on the lights while the driver is moving the vehicle)

Another way is to hijack the light key, but I'm not sure I like that; I'd like to be able to control the lights and siren separately

Or there's always commands... /CVPIL and /CVPIS ?

I've got a few options here. Let me know what you think of them, and I might start preparing them next week.

Same thing here

i say the light key should be used for a spotlight mounted on the front passenger side

I agree, But I want buttons in the car so that while your in first person you could use them with ease.
And if you're in a pursuit the passenger could press them for you. But the thing I'm worrying about with that is someone that's sitting In back could press the buttons from there. I really don't want the commands.

And Teneski will we be able to choose from different types of siren sounds. And different types of lighting speeds/motions.

That's a good idea, though it will probably be on the driver's side.

Unfortunately, the faster you're driving, the less accurate IVS is. I just tested it with Barnabas' vehicles; after a certain speed, nothing works. There will need to be some redundant commands. They will start with /CVPI so they can't be mistaken for anything else.

I may also include some way to set preferences, either temporary or by client, for how you control the lights and siren. For example, when you use the light key, does it activate the spotlight, turn on the lights, or turn on the lights and siren? Does clicking change the siren's pattern, or sound a horn? For clicking I would have to find some way to reconcile it with IVS; perhaps if the click doesn't activate something from IVS.

I might use keybinds. The way I set up my keyboard, the numpad is unused. I'm sure some people would enjoy using key presses to control the lights and siren.

Yes. Wail, yelp, phaser, and some kind of cycle are planned. So far, I've programmed three patterns for the light bar in a way which is fairly flexible. There is still some work to do in making sure everything functions reliably before I add sirens and controls.

Yay, I am really liking this project. This might be the best police car ever made in blockland,After the blocko sedan.
