Author Topic: North Korea threatens war on US over Kim Jong-un movie  (Read 10287 times)

speaking of experimental weapons whats happening with the railguns
They're being installed on navy warships, and do the same destructive damage as expensive explosive projectiles, but for less money.  They're also much faster, which is why they're so powerful.  And these projectiles only weight a few kg.  When you fire something with such high velocity, the impact force is multiplied by a lot.  The comet that wiped out the dinosaurs was traveling 10-20 km/s.  It was also pretty big.

Can confirm. If a projectile B goes twice as fast as projectile A, it exerts 4 times as much force upon impact. Doubling mass only doubles the impact upon force, but doubling velocity quadruples it.
E = mv2

Am i a terrible person for wanting to see us totally beat the living forget stuff out of north korea, then make a disney land in Pyongyang and have a special ride where u can litterally piss on kims dead body.

I don't want us to make war with North Korea yet. We need to let them humiliate themselves some more.

that's a great idea

except the ride should be a giant model of kim jong-il's body that the ride goes inside. you'll be able to see his small brain, black heart, and you can see him spew you out his starfish like he did propaganda!

yup, i see you have also taken your physics lol. probably one of the most useful classes.

These are Allies of the US though...

-Israel
 -Great Britain
 -Australia
 -Canada
 -South Korea
 -Poland
 -Turkey
 -Japan
 -Mexico

 -Romania
 -Slovakia
 -Slovenia
And Russia but we're kinda rough with Russia right now.

You forgot Germany

its not supossed to make sense. nukes arnt about killing your enemy in a useful way, they never were.
they exist as a "if i go then so will everyone else" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mutual_assured_destruction
all nations agree on that logic, thats why simply having them completely protects you from any invasions. they doint need to be able to launch them over seas or even have missiles at all. they are safe.
the policy talks about annihilating the enemy, not the whole world. in a modern world, possible war between world powers is a very sensible subject to take seriously.

we're not talking about the deterrence right now, we're talking about why it would be necessary to annihilate ourselves and everyone else if one nations nukes itself therefore killing itself.

god dammit you just made me remember the ap physics test i failed today

handicapped hypothetical. you kids are talking about nations nuking themselves for the fun of it. nothing realistic about that. no nation would do such things.

Not for the fun of it, but maybe if they failed to demonstrate grorious NK nuke prowess....

You... You realize that you said that if NK nuked themselves, then we would launch a nuke in response? What does that even accomplish? How are you protected from an invasion if you can't launch a nuke past your own border?

Also, does anyone else think that Sony was hacked by North Korea or sympathizers?

The laser systems are in use right now, you just don't know about them.  I have personally seen one used in a demonstration.
I'm sure you saw one in demonstration, shooting down an aircraft/UAV. If you try to tell me that we have lasers that can shoot down warheads from a balistic missile I am going to shoot you in the foot.

We have actually had them for a long time.

What we don't have in full production yet is electrical lasers that can do the same thing. Firing chemical lasers like the MIRACL costs tens of thousands of dollars per use.
