So apparently 7 gunmen are holding 50 people in a cafe prisoner in Sydney, Australia, also forcing these people to hold up a flag up against a window :V

Anyone know anything else about this?

They are making a hashtag so they can piggyback off of social media and detect where police officers are and what is happening outside.

So I'll clarify some things here, with the little bits that are factually known.

A man with what appeared to be a shotgun was confronted by police outside of a cafe. Said gunman ran into the Lindt cafe. Details are sketchy afterwards but now 50 people are being held hostage in a cafe.

There is a possibility that there is more than one gunman.

They have put up a general Islamist flag (NOTE: NOT A CIA FLAG) on one of the windows. The hostages are lined up against the windows as well.

There is no evidence that points to any bombs being planted around Sydney. It is unknown if the assailant(s) have explosives on them, but there is a possibility that they are armed with explosives.
