well the way i look at it, you should do the thing that you really get a kick out of doing.  if you feel so in love with painting that youre happiest when you do that, be a painter etc etc

I want to be an indie game dev who works on the same game for seven years and has to deal with a bunch of angry teenagers all the time.

well art is one of the most interpretive and objective things there are out there so idk what your definition of not very good at it is.  also theres plenty of people who would buy stuffty art- just as well if you have a passion for something then you can become good at it, so practice the forget out of whatever medium you are doing and just sell that stuff at like art shows or curations

Honestly, playing this game at age 11/12 made me realise what I wanted to be; software developer. At first, I was primarily focusing on game-design, and although it's an area I'm extremely fond of, I'm leaning more towards general software design. My father has designed websites for about 15 years, more or less, so there's the business there to take over if needs be (he's moved on from website design and now sells electronic cigarettes)

My main goal is to be self-employed. I do not want to work for other people, and the idea of funding and creating yourself by yourself is extremely appealing to me.

Gaming industry and hopefully try to get into Microsoft or Apple.

self employment can be easy to attain if youre smart and its also one of the best forms of working imo
go for it bud ur a forgetin ace
