Something which should've been done twenty years ago!

Travel and trade bans will be lifted
A US embassy will be put in Cuba
We'll stop viewing them as a terrorist country

what happened to "the united states doesn't negotiate with terrorists"? loving obama.

They haven't done anything really bad in a while, I don't see a problem with this.

 - A Cuban

But, Cuba is part of the USSR! How can we associate with communist Russia?

didnt the pope ask for this?

I mean clearly our embargo was working so well, it's like Fidel was just about to die from it or something.

I seen this stuff on the news. It seems more like we are trying to go there and "enforce peace and relations" that are not needed, for benefit of our government's own selfish wants.

By all means, trade and commerce is nice, but they want to be able to use american credit cards in Cuba and enforce laws over there that are not under our country's jurisdiction. This is all because Cuba is only 90 miles from Florida, and if you ask me they outta just be part of the states if this is all going to happen.

I wouldn't mind buying a Cuban cigar in my hometown gas station. I don't see the big deal. Other countries sell stuff here all the time, but using credit cards there and all that is just too much. This shouldn't even be a big deal, just another deceitful attempt by the government to put our attentions on something stupid while they do something else behind our backs.

source?

and what the forget is with the last part? yeah, the government doesn't tell us everything, but why does good relations have to be some scapegoat for some conspiracy? can't good relations just be plain good?
