Weird Phobia of the day! : Anatidaephobia, the fear that somewhere a duck is watching you...

pho·bia noun \ˈfō-bē-ə\

: an extremely strong dislike or fear of someone or something.

In this thread we'll discuss our Phobias, REAL fears not just because you don't like something, these fears often trigger nausea, dizziness, anxiety attacks, or blackouts. A phobia is triggered when something traumatizes or scared you as a child like Animatronics or clowns.
Post your story of how you got your phobia and please respect others phobias.

I have Acrophobia, the fear of heights. When I was 4 I fell off of a walk-in van my father drove for work, it was about 9ft-11ft tall and I had climbed up there to play. The van had safety rails and other stuff to prevent falls but I fell off anyway somehow, I ended up going to the hospital with a minor fracture of the skull above my left eyebrow. I had to get my skull glued back so it won't do further damage and got temporary sutures. Due to this event to me I now have Acrophobia, I can't even look at a roller coaster without getting dizzy and light headed. People call me a wimp for not going on roller coasters because on the comet at Hershey park, Pennsylvania I had an anxiety attack and almost blacked out, During the event I am higher than 11ft I am temporarily paralyzed and can blackout. At school I was doing a banister for a dance and the ladder I was on made me not go above the 5th step.

I don't have real fears of anything.

I cannot bring myself to ride roller coasters or be unprotected at a great height though. I don't like rock climbing walls or tops of cliffs, but I could probably make myself do it. I do get a little uneasy on the tops of skyscrapers but I can live with it.

Neither roller coasters nor heights would be considered as a phobia for me.

i don't have a fear of falling. i have a fear of the ground.

I don't count heights and stuff like that a phobia, because most people, including me have it.

I do have a blood phobia, also goes with needles. It's kinda funny, as long as a picture of blood or gore isn't too grotesque, it doesn't bother me. And I don't faint if I bleed myself, but if someone is doing something like describing a blood infection or a really grotesque image pops up, then yes I get terrified.

I know it sounds very specific, but hey it's weird. I have almost fainted from this in chemistry when we were discussing lead poisoning. Eh.

Falling, and ants.
forget ants.

can't think of anything

my worst fear is something socially but idk if that's a phobia
