In this thread we'll discuss our Phobias, REAL fears not just because you don't like something, these fears often trigger nausea, dizziness, anxiety attacks, or blackouts. A phobia is triggered when something traumatizes or scared you as a child like Animatronics or clowns.
Post your story of how you got your phobia and please respect others phobias.
I have Acrophobia, the fear of heights. When I was 4 I fell off of a walk-in van my father drove for work, it was about 9ft-11ft tall and I had climbed up there to play. The van had safety rails and other stuff to prevent falls but I fell off anyway somehow, I ended up going to the hospital with a minor fracture of the skull above my left eyebrow. I had to get my skull glued back so it won't do further damage and got temporary sutures. Due to this event to me I now have Acrophobia, I can't even look at a roller coaster without getting dizzy and light headed. People call me a wimp for not going on roller coasters because on the comet at Hershey park, Pennsylvania I had an anxiety attack and almost blacked out, During the event I am higher than 11ft I am temporarily paralyzed and can blackout. At school I was doing a banister for a dance and the ladder I was on made me not go above the 5th step.
