Author Topic: i found a really "sad" article about a brony  (Read 13780 times)

Should change the title to "I found a really sad article about a train."

omg its not that he's a brony, its that hes so much of a pusillanimous individual because he Self Deleted because of the internet. Plus he was selfish enough to not even think what the person pretty much killing him or his parents would think, so honestly no sympathy for the guy that killed himself but the people that cared about him and the person that ran him over.
Are you against bullying or not?

Are you against bullying or not?

There's a difference between bullying and cyberbullying.
Bullying is an issue because it can involve physical contact, and avoiding it once it has begun is impossible.
Cyberbullying is harmless and avoiding it can be done by 4 different mean.
Mean 1: Step 1: Alt + F4
Mean 2: Step 2: Press the power button on the PC, alternatively unplug the PC.
Mean 3: Step 1: Block the user.
Mean 4: Step 1: Ignore the user and go on with your usual things.

Abuse is never harmless.

Abuse is never harmless.
If you can easily escape from said abuse (cyber bullying) then it is harmless. Honestly, it's so easy to not be cyber bullied, only people that submit themselves to it ever are harmed

and that has anything to do with the fact that he idiotically killed himself?

IF you read the whole article

He was upset people where mocking his disabilities (What you quoted) so he killed himself.

You act like there's some sort of instinctual warning when a post or a comment or whatever is going to be abusive. But regardless of that, I think it says something when so many people believe that it's the "victim's" job to just shut down and remove themselves from a situation where abuse is occurring. While of course it is always better for them to "escape", its the starfishs that decide its ok to treat people anything less than human that need to be lectured on how to act.

While a lot of us have thick skin on the internet, there's no amount of shielding that can withstand constant abuse that it sounds like this kid was receiving. I'll say it again, abuse is never harmless.

it may have been a stupid death but the fact that so many people are laughing at a Self Delete is disturbing

Im guessing the video is gone.

The automatic reaction is sympathy. If you don't have sympathy to this guy you might be... an insensitive bigot? I don't like categorizing, but honestly he doesn't deserve to be laughed at.

"if you don't agree with me/my feelings you're a bigot"

The reason kids with disabilities like FiM is because it makes them happy and the community won't make fun of them like this one would, they can also take insults very seriously because they are used to nice people. I can understand most people won't even try to sit down and watch cartoon ponies made for girls for 22 minutes. The non-disabled people usually come in by being transgender or a losing a bet (that's how I came in).

He's a freaking bullying victim, I didn't say you have to agree with every single person's feeling. I specifically referred to the guy from the article.

How is it people are so easily brought into it? I've stayed over at a hard-core bronies house and he put it on Netflix, a few episodes. I seen them and it didn't even slightly move me.
