steam version of arma 2 mod DayZ refuses to work.

I just downloaded the steam version of the DayZ mod for Arma 2 and it refuses to let me into any of the servers. It keeps saying that I'm missing a bunch of addon files and that I can't join without them.

I went into the expansion options and enabled "DayZ" and "DayZ for Arma 2" and restarted the game. Now no servers will ever even show up!

Is there any fix for this?

I haven't played in a year or so with DayZ commander, should it need an update? I don't see any servers on that either.
