Possible? If not, why can player models have clientside custom colors but not brick?

[10:42] Apollo: a clientside paintpack would be awesome
[10:43] Jsk2003: :D
[10:43] Jsk2003: yes
[10:43] Apollo: kinda like how your avatar can be any color
[10:43] Jsk2003: so then blockland supports every single color, but you can only have a color paintset
[10:43] Jsk2003: OR OMG
[10:43] Jsk2003: paint set will become that computer-color-circle thing
[10:43] Jsk2003: with all the colors
[10:43] Apollo: lolololo
[10:43] Jsk2003: and black on outside, white on inside
[10:43] Jsk2003: and then we woudl have
[10:44] Jsk2003: that paint picker, the tool that gets the exact color of something
[10:44] Jsk2003: and that's how you can do it
[10:44] Jsk2003: and then!
[10:44] Jsk2003: we can make 5 different "favorites" colors
[10:44] Jsk2003: so then you can pick the colors of building
[10:44] Jsk2003: and then instead of using the color-picker-thing you can just use favorites!!!
[10:44] Jsk2003: omg yay
[10:44] Jsk2003: I should put this in suggestions later
[10:45] Apollo: i don't get why we wouldn't be able to do that
[10:45] Apollo: since player models can be any color
[10:46] Jsk2003: Yep :\

Not possible unless Badspot does it. It would be great if you could change it ingame just like the avatar colour set.

Each brick color would then have to be sent using 32 bits instead of the 6 bits that are used now.  It doesn't sound like much but on a large build it ends up adding minutes to the loading time.

Oh :(
Could it be added via mods? Or would the source code have to be changed?

The source would have to be changed.
