Author Topic: Skyrim Skyboxes?  (Read 5975 times)

After playing the Elder scrolls since Morrowind The sky has amazed me and I have no skill in sky boxes so if someone could make night versions of Skyrim that'd be awesome! If there is any way to make the auroras move that'd be even better!

I would assume there might be a way to make the auroras move, since there is that one "Celestial" skybox that has like a moving galaxy right?

What can I do very lazily and with minimal effort you ask?

If I find the actual skyboxes instead of this one I downloaded from the Nexus then you bet your sweet ass I will make a skybox out of it for ya.

Bump because I'm making a Fantasy map

I haven't found the actual skyboxes, but I found an interesting video of one that I might toy with at some point in time. I just work a lot and have quite a lot to do.

I was digging through my Skyrim files and couldn't locate any as well

I'd hate to say, but skyrim doesn't use a skybox, instead it uses a "skysphere", which is a 3d model of a inverted sphere with a sky texture mapped on to it.
so there goes your request.

with the sky textures it should be possible to convert it to a cube instead of sphere
