Author Topic: weird adware im getting only on blf  (Read 3615 times)

Ay? Where's the option to change "Show Advertisements" gone? You must have some adware that's turning it on.
read edit.

I've read up the name of the site and the page is apparently part of some malicious ad that is on google's adsense. it happens to a lot of other forums, so just disabling ads will get rid of it if it happens to you.

I forgot to mention this google add on!

https://getadblock.com/

Sorry if someone said it already.

"I think all websites should sink due to lack of ad revenue." Said the massive cunt ad-block user.

Nobody cares about ads...

And before you say "Did you read what I said? They will sink", There is more than one way to make money.
Example: Make a video game that people enjoy.

Not every website can do anything other than adverts to turn a profit, it's not that hard to just let the ads sit there, you don't even have to look at them if you don't want to. But no anything less than advert free and you may have to get off your self entitled pedestal.

Uh, alright what ever you say guy. Maybe you should move on to a more kid friendly website.

adblock isn't that much of a deal as long as you're responsible with it

it's fair to give a producer ad revenue only if they give you quality work in return, otherwise it can be a blatant scam on both ends

Not every website MUST profit from adverts. Most websites just aid a company in telling customers about stuff and perhaps letting them buy items online. The average businessman will have more than enough buck to keep a website up since it only costs like $16 a month.

This is irrelevant, websites that don't need ads don't use ads there for using ad block on the website is as pointless as your statement.
I never said every website must. Adblock users hurt small websites or youtubers who barely make anything for putting up their content for you to look at free of charge.
And ads return so little now days every little helps.

or it's because adblock removes the checkmark next to it.
No, some users have disabilities (heh) compared to others. Like not being able to edit signature, or change profile picture. Random restrictions i guess. Anyway, go to uninstall programs in control panel and check for anything suspicious. look it up before you uninstall it though. oh, and open task manager and post a pic of everything in the "processes" category.

every little helps.

I get enough adverts from that company.

Anyway getting money from ads is like using a solar panel to power your house, it's so little you won't even notice it and you shouldn't be relying on such a small source. Using ad-block on a website is just like going on a train with ear defenders, just like not looking at an ad is like ignoring a loud conversation on the train. It's for those that just do not want to know about it. Adverts are just a way of talking to you hoping you're an unlucky "sucker" who will listen and buy the product. I would never use it to make a "profit" since you have to have about 10000 views just for $5. You don't use ads to live off, that's what you go to a job for.

In conclusion any website can survive without ads, they just use them because they want a to try and get an extra buck.

And before you say "What about to keep the website going?", Here's your answer:

Not everybody goes into a train wearing ear defenders right? Just like not everybody goes on with ad-block. So they'll make enough to keep going, and that's it.

This brown townogy works better like this; Solar panels can power your entire house, provided 40 million ad block users are not blocking the sun.

By the way people don't install solar panels so they will partially reduce energy consumption.

People who wear ear defenders on trains =/= The 40 million people who use that ad block service alone.

Enough with the incorrectly predicting my responses.

Yes they do, Ask 95% of people who installed them.

clearly that's not how it works. and the advertising game is actually way bigger than youre making it sound
