Author Topic: Humans Need Not Apply  (Read 1978 times)

Nobody's safe, not even us!
Yes it was posted on April 1st, it's just a coincidence - videomaker said so himself in the second episode.[/url]

I'm pretty excited for robots I guess.
Well, only robots with a personality AI that resembles a normal human's personality.
They could learn from the things they see, just like us when we grow up.
I've read a long book about robots, their AI and how they would work if they had AI that would learn from what they saw.
The protagonist made a drone that watched hundreds of movies and tv series in a minute and would learn from them.
He turned out super cute.

If we are ever able to develop a robot that can make significant decisions and get opinions on things from experience like us humans, I'd be willing to say robots could have souls. Which sounds weird I guess, but why not? Bags of flesh, bags of metal. Hormones, Programming.

Edit:

Just saying I'm super biased as I'm obsessed with robots.

In the book you can.

I'm not sure if I should be pleasantly surprised or terrified that I know what 'book' you're talking about.

It's one of the best visual novels out there. 300.000 words, too.
I'm in love with it.

idk i'd kinda prefer 1984 to happen at some point
so no freedom's for anyone expect the government?

Hopefully once robots are doing everything, we'll be able to implement communism without resources being spread too thinly.

Robots are awesome

Communism will only work when humanity is extinct and the robots remain. Sorry buddy, its in our nature to forget everything up.

this

tired of those people who say "oh but if no one has to work we don't have to buy things! we can just take what we need. it'll be a utopia"

except the guy who takes all the food after he tries to build some huge planet made of cheeseburgers or something causes a global cheeseburger shortage

Communism may have nearly died out at the fall of the USSR but it will be reborn!
