The deathclaw attacks scout but scout fails and gets his arm clawed off so he runs away to the tunnel avoiding the deathclaw.

Snipe the legs of the Deathclaw Alien with the pistol from as far away as possible. That should cripple the legs and let you run circles around it. And beat it to death.
