GM foods are unnatural!

now if you'll excuse me I've got some  dipotassium phosphate, mono and diglycerides, carrageenan, acesulfame potassium and sucralose to enjoy. Mmm, Swiss Miss!

Don't forget Aspartame!

agreed. what we need to do is not eat any food with chemicals in it. I'm sure you're doing your part, tetro

causing mutations to existing genetic structure only causes stuff like cancer when it's in the target cells

so unless you're corn or eating prions from genetically modified chicken plants or something it has no effect on you

not that modified organisms even have mutations, they only have genetic code from other things spliced in

this whole gmo fiasco seems misguided when you think that, we really don't know anything about most of the stuff we eat.

gmo's are science based and so far have shown to not be harmful yet we're freakin out while eating Taco Bell and snickers bars

snickers bars

One shudders to imagine what insane cruelty lies beneath that layer of chocolate...

As long as they don't do that crap that punishes people who want to grow non-modified foods in the event of accidental cross-contaimination, whatever.

GM crops are good.

mmmm MMMM

love me somedat genetically modified seasoning

I don't like GMO food, but unfortunately I'm not super rich so I don't buy everything organic. I grow my own organic food during the grow season.

i honestly don't see how people believe that gmos could cause significant issues

cancer is basically when a cell forgets to kill itself after an amount of time (i can't remember how it works exactly but i think the kill timer is to prevent the body from being composed of old, potentially faulty cells) and it just keeps multiplying

someone please tell me how gmos would target the kill timer gene

and as said by sir dooble, ad(h)d is used to define waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many issues, and could just be parents not doing a good job of raising their kids

In the US there was a study that said that GM crops cause ADHD or ADD in children or something.

edit:

keep in mind that unless the plants have a virus/parasite capable of getting through the membranes lining your:
  • throat
  • mouth
  • stomach (extremely hard to do because acid and anti acid mucus lining the membrane of the stomach)

you'd only really be getting contaminated with the chemicals that made up the plant

and i really don't think any scientists are stupid enough to put a cancer-causing or otherwise harmful chemical into gmos

huh

Your argument is 3/4 false, Cancer is from a bad cell that had DNA mutation which keeps multiplying at an uncontrollable rate.

people who dislike GM foods usually don't understand them

natural =/= good

Force the processing plants to put a warning labels on all of their GM products.
Don't force anything
