They lost me with all the dlc.
yeah that's something i hope they don't overdo

the game is fun but if every bit of dlc is $5+ for things like weapon skins i'm sure a lot more people will turn away

edit: ok people are overdoing it with the dlc because every single negative review is about the dlc
come on, really?

ok so griffin is a total pain in the ass to the monster if you can land the harpoons and because it's forced to sneak as to not trip the sensors

also, all the bad reviews about prices and DLC are all pre-release tagged, go figure. people whining about the dlc and price probably because they didn't get anything free for being in the alpha

But they're right regardless. This game in itself is an insult. Even if I loved the game I wouldn't purchase it due to the way they're handling the game. As many headlines about the game read, there's more than $130 worth of DLC at launch that isn't included in the season pass. Regardless if most are skins that's absolutely disgusting and I don't believe there are too many other games that have had such an atrocious amount of DLC at launch with a price tag that high. Not to mention this is just the START of things to come!

right about what? how the game is the spawn of satan for having entirely optional different colored weapons that give no impact on the game?

people don't give grocery store goods bad reviews because there's an optional recipe on the back that requires you to buy more of their products.

Pre-ordered and Don't have money to buy it right now :(

The fact you're defending this is incredible. That's an awful brown townogy as well considering games and food aren't the same thing and can't even be remotely compared in this sense because this is an issue exclusive to games. I'm not going to go any further with this argument though, because if you seriously don't see what's wrong, you're one of the reasons companies can do this and remain in business and you wont ever see the issue no matter how hard I try.

Unbelievably unacceptable business model cripples a product that barely had anything going for it to begin with, other than an interesting concept and developers who actually know how to make interesting products.

It will rip like Titanfall, for the same reason Titanfall ripped: Pretending it's somehow worth 60 dollars and the extra amount for all the DLC. Time for publishers to get the memo that they need to be more consumer friendly if they want people to actually buy their products.

Besides the obvious fact that buying a perishable good such as food is completely separate from buying a non-perishable videogame that will last forever...

It's more like the original product was say, chicken noodle soup, but says chicken not included on the bag, then tells you that you have to purchase the chicken from them and nowhere else in order to enjoy the product. Sure, you'll get some soup, and some noodles, but no chicken unless you want to shell out money for what you should have got anyways; that's about as close as I can make the comparison anyways.

i would see an issue if there were new monsters and hunters available one day one, not skins. i'm not trying to start an argument here but it's ridiculous how many people that don't even own the full game are giving bad reviews for optional skins that don't change anything

except it's MORE like they offered chicken soup and you can buy carrots to go with the soup, and people are whining because you don't get the carrots free.

i made this thread for people to talk about the game, not complain about the skins. if you want to say something please pm me about it or go to the turtlerock website/steam forums, don't clutter the thread

$60 price tag and day one dlc killed it for me
not getting the game this time

without maggie being the goliath is amazing

i hid in a bush the entire time the arena was up

i did not move the entire time
