i am currently searching for a decent laptop to save up for

i'm looking to do digital art with really high resolution canvases (up to like 8000x8000 pixels)
i also need it to be reasonably modern (no 2008 laptops, that's exactly why i'm replacing this one)
and my maximum price is like 1000 dollars

specs i'm looking for:
-at least an intel core i5 processor
-not sure about the graphics card, but i'm not looking to game with it really
-at least 8 gigabytes of ram
-at least a half terabyte hard drive
-at least 3 usb ports
-hdmi port
-numpad is not required
-at least a 13" screen
-it would be nice if it had bluetooth

and before you say "get a desktop" i already have a decent desktop to art (and even game) with. i like the portability of laptops and again i'm not going to game with it

edit:
so i was looking at these two:

toshiba
acer

which should i get?

and your maximum price is like....?

Save a little extra and get the Y50

>8000x8000

Uh... I heard Macs are good for graphics and things.
And they're pushing really high resolutions.
If your max price is $1000 then you can get a Macbook air.

EDIT: I just looked and even the more expensive Macbook airs don't have 1080p displays. Nvm.

You want to use it for productivity and you only want 8GBs of RAM and 500GB hard drive?

dude, most productivity only takes that

sick of the neckbeards running around whining about how you need 256 gb of ram and 6 tb of memory to draw pretty pictures

C# visual works really fast on my 8 gb ram and 2gb graphics card desktop

its what i have now and its fine

The graphics card works as an accelerator for editing.

Well to be fair, he asked for a $1000 computer.

You have to understand C# and graphic illustration programs run in different boats

500GB's for storing images and other things is quite low, I do photography as a hobby and I have just about 4 Terabytes worth of images and that stuff sure isn't easy to store and move around.

Adobe products such as Photoshop, can be very resource hungry both on hard drive and RAM.  Considering direct from Adobe that 8GB's is recommended, keep in mind recommended you want to give yourself more headroom to at least 12-16GB's.  In my machine I use for video and photo editing I use 12GB's for sake of headroom while rendering videos and then likewise editing photos.  Photoshop will use what is called a scratch-disk, with whom your logic would fail to know what that is since you refer to someone who points out something a neckbeard, will consume a considerable portion of your disk space temporarily while drawing an image and those who use many layers will use up to even 10-30GB's in no time if drawing an image that is per say 8000x8000.  Of course this all depends on the bit depth and other properties of the image when originally configured at setup.
