If I did that, I'd probably kick it over. I usually either leave my drink on a separate table, or I don't set it down on the computer's table. If I have to get up, I take my drink with me.

Mine sits away from everything if its on my desk, if not there than I put it on my nightstand table thing.

I'd probably do the same if I had a desktop, but since the only computers I use are laptops (on desks), it'd be way too easy for a spill to cause mortal damage.
