my school once held a raffle for a brand new ipad
my friend pretty much said "hey fede i'll sign you up dont worry ill pay for your ticket."
he paid for the ticket as a joke since we knew the chances of me winning were very slim, and i ended up giving him the money for the ticket back
apparently theres a girl with part of my surname as hers in some other class so when they were announcing the winners they mixed me up with that girl and thought i won. they made me come up to them and took pictures of me and stuff for their website, the headmaster came and gave everyone a lecture about how important it is to participate in these events because the money for the tickets goes to charity. my friend was looking at me with the eyes of a hundred demons wanting to claim their rightful prize.
when i thought it had all ended the headmaster looked at the paper and congratulated me with my full name, and realised they called the wrong person, she took the ipad from my hands and walked up to the girl that won it, gave it to her and dismissed everyone.
to this day my friend still makes fun of me for that
