Along with running a stuffload of background programs, reducing computer performance. KasperSky isn't that good; I have used worse though.

Actually Windows defender comes default with Windows Vista, 7, and 8.
Its actually pretty good. A simple, clean interface without sluggish background programs and fair detection. I think the main reason people don't use it is because "default" programs are easily bypassed/cracked or just don't work as well. How many people honestly use Internet Explorer for browsing? I know I don't.

I don't have one except windows defender, since I keep reminding myself of the slow process it is to install them thanks to my internet, even though I should probably get one

the only sites I go on anyway are youtube, the forums and kerbal space program mod sites like curse so they weren't always top priority

also mcafee came preinstalled on this and I removed it after 2 weeks
