Author Topic: got a brace  (Read 1396 times)

I have back problems. Could be that, but I think whatever my problems are were inherited from my dad.
If it was a herniated disk you would have probably been to a chiropractor about it. Its probably an inherited thing.

I found out about my herniation about a month after it happened. At first I couldn't walk worth a stuff because of sciatic nerve pain, after about a month I truly had issues walking, I was only able to shuffle along one day. My uncle told me to go to the hospital and so I did, after that they told me to go to my regular doctor. I went there and they told me to see a physical therapist to get it worked on. My grandpa took me to his chiropractor where he took an xray and found my spine was way out of whack, after some further work it turns out I herniated a disk. Either the herniation itself or my bent vertebrae is on top of my sciatic nerve which is triggering pain, occasionally cutting off all signal forcing my leg to give out on itself.
Now I have to get an MRI to determine what course of action is next.

I'm too careful to break bones, but I almost never drink milk.

I have a feeling though that I'll have fragile internal organs when I'm older, since most of my family does.

brace yourself for future problems

Geez that sucks. Hope you can get it taken care of.

With me, I always get a nagging feeling of restlessness in my central lumbar spine. Twisting my back until it cracks a few times will give temporary relief, but it always comes back (no pun). On rare occasions (as of now), I will feel an excruciating crushing feeling in my back. All I can do is gulp down Ibuprofen and it doesn't always help. I remember the first time it happened was on my sister's birthday last February. I just started to sit down to sing happy birthday and immediately started wincing in pain that lingered all night. That has only happened twice since then, but my dad has similar issues much more often.

I also have a hunch that my coccyx is bent the wrong way. I never injured it or anything, but it feels like instead of pointing backwards like a tail bone, it feels through my skin to face inwards. It also feels very sore after sitting for long periods.

Oooo bad. I hope you don't get Rickets. Then you will have soft bones and need a brace m8

put a keystone in it, give your dog a dogite stone and mega evolve it

You should probably go to a chiropractor and ask for an xray to see, I had never thought it was anything serious until I went. For a while I thought I merely pulled a muscle.

The dirt of the situation is that chiropractors aren't covered by insurance.

My insurance is covering my chiropractic visit, must just be yours.
