man forget trig, taking it right now and it sucks

same dude. making up 2nd semester of algebra 2 right now as a senior cause i failed it junior year. prob gonna have to spend a 5th year in high school cause its all trig this year (government changed the "standards" for algebra 2) and none of my teachers can help me with it cause its all snooty calculus math level stuff.

I have to take trig next year.

(I'M 14)

Trig is simple if you can memorize formulas and incorporate algebra well. I passed with a 96% and didn't do well in geometry back in sophomore year.

Oh, well never mind then. I'm only terrible at graphing.

There is some graphing, especially on the unit circle and for graphing functions.

but we recently learned about Sec Csc and Cot
Sec is 1/cos
Csc is 1/sin

I memorize those two knowing that they're the opposite of how they sound like they should be

Cot is 1/tan because both words have tangent in them.

Along with just memorizing these things (Which is actually easier than you think), just don't be intimidated by the math. If you have questions, ask questions! Math is really cool, and this is coming from an average-grade math student. It can be scary but just remember it's actually pretty cool stuff.

If you are a visual sort of person, you could just remember the graphs.

Cosecant must be the reciprocal of Sine because it is undefined at 0 and Sine is 0 at 0.

this.... makes sense
cause like line them up so it would be
s   c
c   s
then fill it in
new   old
sec    cos
csc    sin
and then all is left is cot tan

then flip it so its the 1/x
thanks man

Just wait until you're in calculus, where they teach helpful info at the END of a chapter.

lol, that's so incredibly true its not even funny.

It's so true that it's better off waiting till you go over the last section before doing any of the assignments.

This is less true. Kids, do your calculus homework. lol
