Author Topic: creepy email?  (Read 1166 times)

i just got this email sent to me. didn't go into my spam inbox, just was sent straight to my promotions tab in my normal inbox. first time i've seen spam mail go in to that tab. :u

the image preview is apparently unavailable, so i mean, this image is naturally fishy. is there a way i can open this image without forgetin over my computer if there is something potentially hidden inside of it? the image size is 995 KB.

wat do, i'm curious, but curiosity killed the cat after all

Maybe the picture is of a burning and abandoned New York from 5 years into the future when Half Life 3 is released

Don't open it. this is how people get viruses.

i realize, but i mean, an image with a virus embedded into it is still an image, right? i want to circumvent the virus and just see the image, if that's even remotely possible.

The hackers are using an email spoofer to make it look like the email is coming from a website that doesn't exist me thinks.

i figured, i've had some friends do this to me before lol

i know this is a virus, but ah well. i suppose i'll let it sit and open it on a virtual machine or something, then

stream it then become the next generation of rougeamp by trying to remove it off of your vm

I swear, it's not me this time.

I used to have a VM to use as a sandbox for stuff like this

Can I have a link so I can test it in a VM?
