Author Topic: Any good C++ classes?  (Read 1436 times)

I am sort of mostly kind of confused right now...

just start slow. don't throw yourself too deep in, just dip your feet and feel out the waters

Even though some tutorials were given, I can't even get the first line to work...

Which IDE are you using.

Which IDE are you using.

that visual one, then the one you provided...

Jesus honno, one thing at a time, you don't throw a person into a barrel of sharks without first giving them at least a BIT of protection
I like to be thorough when it comes to introducing people to a language I am passionate about. Besides, I haven't even showed him anything on how to code, yet. I pretty much gave him all the 'protection' he can choose from, he just needs to learn how to use it.

OP needs to have some computer skills if he really wants to learn how to code in a low-level language like C++.

Don't worry, this all seems like one giant stone wall just appeared. I might have been a little too hasty, and you might not know what your favorite IDE/compiler even is yet. Try googling C++ tutorials and most of them will show you how to set up a basic IDE.

Continue watching / reading C++ tutorials on how to code. Make sure they are at beginner level.

When you are at least at a basic level, you will have a variety of IDE's and compilers to choose from for your liking.

What is the output? And most importantly, what is your code?

Use the one Pecon provided for now:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/orwelldevcpp/?source=directory
Use this.

http://www.cplusplus.com/doc/tutorial/program_structure/
Follow this tutorial.

Well it's working now, you have all possible made my day/week/month/year/life, and I hope I don't quit this like every other thing I get involved in...

Thanks

I guess if anything I shall holler

I wish I could give you a link to a student project at my University, but you need to login... :C
It's a browser based "IDE" that lets you write C++ code and step through it one command at a time so you can see exactly what your program is doing.

nevermind forget what I said
