Author Topic: NO SUPPORT PLENTY DISRESPECT FOR TOPICS *Tips needed to get better*  (Read 3155 times)

You do need some more organization, yes, but the disrespect is uncalled for. If someone doesn't like your server idea, they just shouldn't join. If they don't like your organization, they should provide pointers rather than diss it without offering ideas for improvement.

I hate to tell you but the forums aren't about doing whatever you want and not every topic deserves support.

Unfortunately for you I can do whatever Badspot allows me to. Sucks

You are asking us to "just support them".

Let's call up Riddler and ask what happens when people support bad ideas for the sake of supporting them.

*Starts a topic about topics being disrespected*
*Admits to knowing this goes in drama, doesn't lock because "more people go here though"*

You just proved why people disrespect topics.
Because people don't follow the rules when making one.

A topic usually gets no support when the main idea or it's content is questionable. "Disrespect" as you call it is what I would call opinions and feedback. (negative feedback is useful if taken and not rejected) Of course, not all users post useful negative feedback by just saying "Its bad".
Normally, if a topic isnt of quality, or has a bad layout people aren't going to take you serious. Likewise, if you come out of left field where nobody knows who you are and you make a topic about trying to start a competition/clan/community based anything, people aren't going to know what to expect and thats when topics die.
Raven's stuff works because people know who he is and know what to expect from him. He also lays his topics out in a nice visual way with banners, pictures of whats going on, and a quick bio about the event. I don't necessarily like what he hosts, and I can't say I wouldn't like what you would host better. I and a lot of other just dont know you well enough.

Pick up ways to make topics look good and stick around.
