Author Topic: If you discovered an element, what would you name it?  (Read 5029 times)

Name: Gradynium.
Category: Metalloid.
Attributes: Very magnetic, highly poisonous.
Why you named it that: I wanted to.
Atomic Mass: 83.206
Melting temp: 179.2 Fahrenheit
Electrical conductivity: Disappointing.
Country of Origin: 'Murica!
King of page 3

Name: Autisium
Category: Metalloid
Attributes: Common in the Blockland Forums, very radioactive
Why you named it that: BLF

i'd remake aluminium just so everyone knows that it is aluminium and not aluminum

Name: Bitch ass hoe ultumineum (ul-ta-men-ee-um)
category ( Noble gas, etc ): Metal
Attributes: High lustre, good conductor, and very strong
Why you named it that: I thought of its attributes (strong, conductor, lustre) and thought of it as ultra and it is also a mineral, therefore ultumineun

Atomic Mass: 168
Melting temp: 156 K
- Fahrenheit or Celsius is fine
But Kelvin is the SI unit for temperature

Electrical conductivity: max is 1,000,000 wats
Country of Origin: America

please tell me how anyone is ever going to know how to pronounce that or learn to spell that

Name: memewell
category: maymay gas
Attributes: requires wicked cool memes to destroy, using wicked sick memes will cause a nuclear explosion.
Why you named it that: because memes

please tell me how anyone is ever going to know how to pronounce that or learn to spell that
Fixed it, happy?

isnt it just too scientifically unlikely to have elements that are able to remain in existence with more than 118 protons for more than fractions of seconds because they will collapse due to improper ratios of protons and neutrons

Name: Trenchinum
category : Plasmid
Attributes: Damp, clings to clothing, very tough to separate into base composites
Why you named it that: Because I'm a WWI friend

Xanionic Matter Vol. I

Name:  Arcrion (Ac)
Category: Xanionic Matter
Natural State:  Plastoid
Attributes:  Isolates gravitational influence in an uncharged state by physical barrier.  In a charged state, it creates a field (Metastatic Field) with the same effects.  White plastoid or claylike appearance in high gravity and low gravity, respectively.  State of matter does not seem to be affected by thermal energy.
Why you named it that:  "Arc" sometimes refers to a contrast.
Location(s) found:  Low gravity environments, on celestial bodies that have a weak magnetic core.
Method of isolation:  Melting away impurities and tumbling.
Atomic Mass:  Unknown
Melting point:  None
Boiling point:  None
Electrical conductivity:  Does not conduct, but rather absorbs charges.  Mass from particles releasing said charges are absorbed and converted into Telurian Field forces.
