Author Topic: feminists and religions in a nutshell  (Read 1931 times)

Sorry, I'm just blown away that a user named "Mr Man" calls himself a feminist.

>mr man
>mr
>man
>feminist

I hate this name and wish I could change it, I only made it cuz I couldn't think of anything better and I was 13. I'm one of the least manly guys you'll ever meet and wish I were a girl.

He's probably only feminist to get fat girls (his special interest) to like him
If I had a dollar for every time I heard "feminists are fat" jokes...

>feminist
>into bdsm, bbw, stuffing

>feminist
>into bdsm, bbw, stuffing
again that isnt really relevant

He is loveually objectifying women. Just your garden variety misogynistic male.

Don't trigger him.
I laughed harder than I really should have.

wh-

are all of you ignorant of feminists or what? feminists want equallity for all. feminational socialists/woman supremists are bad and want woman to be supreme.

If feminational socialists (who claim themselves to be feminists) aren't feminists, then what makes a 'real' feminist?

men can be feminists

If feminational socialists (who claim themselves to be feminists) aren't feminists, then what makes a 'real' feminist?
people that simply want women to be treated as equal human beings and don't make fallacious and ridiculous arguments and demonise the "opposite side." the reality is that there's no definite "enemy" to feminism besides bigotry and ignorance, and this is what so-called "feminational socialists" represent: an unfortunate misrepresentation of a perfectly just movement born of flippant bigotry and ignorance. that being said, i don't agree with applying labels to people you agree/disagree with (or people in general); it's important to be wary of individuality in human matters

it all sounds very no-true-scotsman but it honestly is a matter of people misunderstanding and misapplying the ideas of a reasonable movement and adopting fairly irrational ideas of their own from this fundamental confusion

extremists in general ruin pretty much all communities. I was pretty Catholic before one brat at school a few years ago ruined religion for me. i'm getting more spiritual now, and recovering from the cynical forgetlord i was not too long ago.

^this
Except I never became the cynical forgetlord since I still had morals without religion.

On another note please don't let this turn into a huge argument like it did with Goth a while ago.

feminists want equallity for all.

I wouldn't say there are "real feminists" so much as "feminists who want equality" vs "radical feminists"
I think it's folly to say either side aren't "real" feminists because the only thing that makes one feminist is if they call themselves that.
