No, let's get back to the facts here. Sneakerheads are teenagers who buy 'rare shoes' for exorbitant prices just to track them through dirt and depreciate their value. There is no universe where this isn't stupid.
Hasty generalization. There are people who can both buy valuable shoes and hold on to valuable shoes for profit. This is a thing that happens.
I'm going to go ahead and guess that the only reason you're defending them is because you purchased a pair of Kanye's duct tape tennis shoes (or something similar) and have come down with buyer's stockholm syndrome.
1. You're totally off the mark. Never bought a pair over maybe 70 bucks. Just don't have a problem with those who do.
2. Sneaker sales turn a profit of literally 40 percent.
http://www.bizjournals.com/portland/blog/threads_and_laces/2014/10/sales-of-resold-collectable-sneakers-hit-1b.html?page=allI don't know what you were trying to do here with these assumptions but if you have some personal vendetta against people who want to wear what they want or collect feet merchandise you should resolve that personally.
ralph hits both ends of the spectrum in terms of pricing, actually, i have several polos that cost ~$40 each but ralph also has some that cost $200+
You probably got clothes that are out of season. Didn't get them straight from a Polo store or outlet, right? Because a loving shirt will not be below 85 dollars.
gucci is pretty expensive but i dont think its "weird-looking" (but thats just me)
and personally ive never heard of ferra so idk what to say about that
Both only have expensive lines of ugly stuff. I like a lot of it but these are just two brands of the industry.
"Some, such as the Nike shoes designed by Kanye West, go much higher. The "Red Octobers" designed by West fetch, on average, nearly $3,000, according to Campless. The shoe retailed for $245. Nike likely released around 2,000 pairs of the shoes."
So yeah I'd buy these ugly red octobers if I could turn a profit of at least 3k
