New, modern light tanks start getting loaded onto ships and sent to Colombia.
About four can fit on each of the ships being used to transport them, any more will over-encumber the ship.
They have a 20mm autocannon for dealing with field guns and machinegun nests, along with two 6.5mm machineguns in the hull for suppressing infantry.

Cuba also begins the construction of its revolutionary new battleships, the Granadero class, each ship sporting 12 304mm cannons (3 per turret), and 16 14.5mm AA guns (4 per turret). About 10 are scheduled for completion soon.

Those are Soviet tanks.

I've been vacationing all weekend and I'll be really busy this week. Posting R&D when I can

yeah but historically cuba basically used american stuff, then later soviet stuff, and seeing as how i'm currently embargoed, pictures of t-38s are the best i can come up with

EDIT: i've invented a super stuffty mix of a t-38 and an m3 lee. this is now the cuban mbt.

peace talks between ecuador and peru have begun

---

colombian troops have been pushed back to bogota where a final line of defense remains

---

soviet-mongol troops continue to sweep through manchuria, although the lack of intact bridges proves unhelpful

---

nationalist troops prepare defensive measures

Mikoyan brought up a good point and I think I'll do my best to explain what I'm going to do about it.

In the interwar period and WW2, besides firearms, there were relatively slim pickings for war equipment. Almost all of this equipment was in the hands of the Great Eight and a few others. This really isn't a problem for a good portion of you, being great world powers. For the rest of us, however, we're kind of forgeted over. From a roleplaying perspective, the rest of us have 3 options.

1) We can import 100% of our war equipment (being tanks, planes and warships) from other nations. This is going to align the nation receiving with the nation sending, which can cause issue if the sending nation is dragged into a war the receiving nation doesn't want to be in. Not only that, but if the sending nation gets involved in a war, they will have less equipment to import to the receiving nation.

2) We can ask for the designs of various war equipment from the nations that have them. This still keeps us dependent on the goodwill of bigger nations and their ability to provide, and will likely still align the receiving nation with the sending nation.

3) We can take some of the more obscure designs from great powers and produce them as our own. This is the most favourable option in my opinion. No nations need to be dependent on each other and the worst that is being lost is an obscure and likely ineffective design. For instance, the ship picture I posted on the previous page is a Town-class light cruiser designed by the UK.

I would love to design my own tanks, planes and warships, but I haven't found a entrepreneur  My Gun-esque designer and I'm far too inept at lineart to draw a ship. Taking drawings from deviantart is always a good idea but I have my doubts about their uniqueness.

Japan sends Argentina factory equipment, if you want I can try my hand at drawing, given I have the time I'll draw it to my best ability

actually screw drawing, it'd be easy to make 3d models in sketchup instead

Yeah I mean like if they have the research and industrial capabilities why can't they have their own tanks even if they didn't MAKE then irl?

Great War Battleships, Great War Stockpile, and Citizenship finished.

New Deal, Early Fighter, and Camouflage began.

Italy begins to build extensive warplane and tank factories.

Three new shipyards in Italy are expected to be opened in the next few years.
