how does mh4u run on the new 3ds xl, btw? been thinkin about upgrading since multiplayer sessions run a little bit slower

i haven't tried it on the original 3ds model but my experience with the new model is flawless. there's also this texture and performance comparison discussion.

Definitely nicer. :) I know what you mean, about the reduced framerate during multiplayer. I think I've gotten that like... Once during a 4 man hunt on the new 3ds, but it was during a pretty intense fight with 2 separate monsters. And the framerate dropped to 40 or so, instead of the 20 I was getting on the original 3ds.

It's worth the upgrade!

i just died online and made everyone lose reward money but... like the first 2 guys to get there took every single potion and ration there was and i had no reliable methods to heal myself i dont know what they expected

i dont have any videos to compare the two

HOWEVER I can say from personal experience that the game looks much better on the new3DS. it loads the nicer textures sooo

and while I've been told other people get framedrops during multiplayer, I either don't even notice the slight difference or I don't get any drops. Which is much better than my time on the original 3ds, because I dropped to probably 20fps on that.

if you're into 3d the face tracking thing is really nice but it gives me a headache fast so I don't use it
