Gosh I miss this series. I remember playing Monster Hunter Freedom 2 and Monster Hunter Freedom Unite on my PSP for like a year straight. I was addicted to that game back then, to the point where I did adhoc Fatalis raids.

Eventually I got bored and hoped for a sequel and then my heart dropped when I realized the game switched over to Nintendo-only. Hopefully one day MH comes back to Sony, I don't care what system.

is the new 3ds required to play this game? i have like $70, so i was thinking about picking up a copy.. but i don't really want to wait until i get a new 3DS, because by the time i've got enough for it, i'm probably going to start investing in more computer parts

a new 3ds isn't required but if you go new 3ds you get a significant performance/quality boost

i tried the bow, it's really frickin fun to play and does decent damage but it's kinda hard to aim

how addicting is 4 compared to 3? i got pretty attached to 3 at times, but i don't know if i'm quite ready yet to drop $40 on mh4u.. even though i have $80 to blow
