Author Topic: Apple is working on tech for a car  (Read 2696 times)

self driving cars would take the fun out of me driving 120MPH+.
Which is why you move to Cuba, buy a regular manually-driven car and dragrace like I mentioned earlier.

I'll drive myself thank you. I better not have to fight for driving rights in the future or there will be hell to pay.

All you need is physical access to the car and knowledge on how it works... Not that difficult to come by if you have the resources. It's been done before, go look it up.
i can slash somebody's tires or mess around with the brakes, hell i can brick the loving engine if i had physical access to the car and a few tools. the problem that you think is there isn't relegated to just automated cars.

the only reason i speed is because to many people dont EVEN go speed limit. and im a jerk and trying to make up lost time.
i would be fine being slower if every car was driving together properly.

it shouldnt take the length of an entire green light to let 12 cars go through. because 1 car at a time slowly starts getting up to speed before the one behind it can start.
if computers ran cars, they all would begin at once.

Tbh I haven't read OP or have an opinion about it (Which is why I only posted a Reddit quote) but I don't think they're working on selfdriving cars, but moreso smartcars; so to speak.

its confirmed that apple themselves have not registered a self driving car in california

Idk why anyone would trust apple to make a self navigating car. Everyone knows what happened when they made their own map/navigation system, but this time it WILL take you off that pier!

Apple is working on a selfdriving cars. Knowing Apple's conflict with Google, Apple will probably use Apple Maps. We're all forgeted.

"Siri, Turn left at Applebottom road."
"Did you say, Turn Right at pearbottom road?"
"NO, Siri Turn left at appl- OH DEAR GOD A TREE!"

Its all fun and games until the GPS coords get scrambled
what

that's not how it works

well, duh, to locate desitination, but it would probably sense that when the coords get "scrambled" (lol), it would be running into cars and trees are would brake.

I bet a year later they will have a new one thats either smaller or larger by an inch, and sell it for even more money.

Which is all you need to really mess up someone's day, already. For that matter, the current knowledge needed is definitely a lot more accessible than the knowledge you'd need to mess with the computer parts of such a car.

If you had no idea what you were posting, why did you post about it?
