>from the creators of space engineers
>space engineers isn't even finished

where's the "this is a cash grab!!!!!!" mob now?

I played it less than 15 minutes, but overall I think it has promise. I wouldn't recommend getting it until it has a couple more features, it feels a bit unoptimized and lacks more building structures at the moment.

with keens update rates this isn't really a problem

Considering they just updated Space Engineers loving today, I'd say the "cash grab mob" is at home, richarding around on asteroids, having stufftons of fun for a low-priced game. Can't say the same for your sorry ass, however.

they are making two of the same game but with different themes

they are both early access

they made a new game with pretty much the same premise without even finishing the first one
tell me, is it not a cash grab because "they're indie!!"

Space Engineers has been developed to a point where it is worth it to buy it now. Medieval Engineers is a different game with some of the same mechanics, but a very different theme. It's not a cash grab because they clearly are still working on Space Engineers, and there is most likely an audience for a castle simulator.

that player model and animation lovey af

not to mention they have a right for a cash grab not only because its fun but they actually could use the extra money from two games, also since they're similar the development will benefit both games

so
its a watered down version space engineers with a different setting

They update both games weekly, shut the hell up.

Its funny to see how blind you are. Medieval engineers has been in production for a year now. It is indeed keen who is producing it but they have different groups working on the projects. They use the same engine for shared benefits, and space engineers has a new update every thursday.

i love how everyone is defending this even though it's
a watered down version space engineers with a different setting
if it was some big company there would be pitchforks and torches, but since it's indie it's ok to not finish a game before making another game with the same mechanics, only a different theme

Medieval engineers has been in production for a year now.
this is even worse, space engineers was released in october 23rd, 2013 which means it's been in early access two years
if medieval engineers was in production for a year they made it JUST because space engineers sold so well

also, remember how hyped dayz was? and then how people realised no one over at bohemia is doing anything to make the game run better, and that it's going to be 'early access' for ages so people can't whine about bugs?
what do you think they're doing with this

One again, completely ignoring the weekly update thing, because you know there isn't really an argument here. Keen works on their games all the damn time. They've yet to miss an update day, and they always take user commentary.
In other words, they do exactly what early access is intended for.
