p much every homeschooled kid I've met is socially autistic

stay in (public) school, kids
Not all people are socially autistic, though

Haha wow, I also agree that if someone is home schooled, they need to be taught what's in the curriculum by law.

THIS. I knew a couple kids who had no idea what grade they were in and what HS credits they needed to have before graduating their junior year

its mest up

I like the current times, i'd prefer 9-3:30 than 11-5:30 for say
Same
The problem with kids being homeschooled for religious reasons is that it forgets the kids up. I've met a lot of people raised like this, most of whom eventually became atheist, cut off ties with their family or became incredibly depressed.

The forgeted up thing is that many religions in north america come with a sense of guilt. The kids are brought up to feel guilty about everything.
It's all under the pretense of teaching those kids "moral" values, like how to be intolerant and how to recite the Bible by memory. Oh, and they basically tell them that everything school teaches them is bullstuff and that America was founded on Christian values.

>his school doesn't have five dollar foot-longs

you stufftin me

Also they should sit the national exams like everyone else... All that teaching and for what if you cannot even prove to your employer that you are able to exercise what you've learnt? Also how can your employer accurately compare you to others that are applying to the job with actual certificates

...They have degrees.

...They have degrees.
This is what i'm saying, they need some form of diploma. You can only obtain one by being examed

Oh, wait, I was confused. I'm pretty sure they do need to take some standardised testing, at least in Illinois.

I would say yes up through high school if public school actually taught important lessons one can carry on into real life. As it stands, I say no, cause it's mostly a waste of time in its current state.
I made it all the way up to my senior year in high school and never learned a single important thing up to that point. I have learned far more outside of school than I did when I was in it.

Maybe you should have tried paying more attention.

You serious? Everything I've learnt so far has been important to me.

I do maths, and I've used absolutely everything I was taught, even down to using them in Blockland code.

autistic kids tend to get homeschooled
it's not that homeschooled kids get autism

in everyday life?

not beyond fourth grade, maybe

I know plenty of homeschoolers who are socially normal, though. I do know some forgeted up ones too though lol.

also this

No, only in work-related situations...

Tbh you don't really need much education for every-day living... But the point is not that, the point is for use in a job
