high level math is helpful; you could say otherwise a generation ago, but good luck living your life off of low- education jobs with workforce automation becoming more prevelant
and even if it's not directly helpful, learning math is stimulating and it makes a person a lot more intelligent

I think that it should be mandatory until the age of 14-16. Many people simply are not equipped for academics. It isn't for everyone. I think that the only problem with having kids drop out at such early ages is that then they don't know what their future holds. For high school dropouts, job training programs should be a must, or else what will they become in society?

Maybe you should have tried paying more attention.

I paid attention plenty, and I heard a bunch of stuff I already read about on the internet. Nothing I heard in high school has translated to a useful skill in my day-to-day life. Every bit of knowledge
I have now about life and my job had to come from the internet cause I wasn't getting it in school.

This. Work experience is just as important as good grades

learning math is stimulating
I can confirm that it does tweak your thought process in quantitative situations

Mind games can tweak your thought processes as well, pretty sure everyone knows this lol.

Yeah but what I mean is more that since you do it so much, you can't help but see it in every-day things, whereas it would be otherwise an overlooked thing, if I'm making sense

I'm Cantaloupe
I think you're caribou. your name kinda jumped out at me for some reason. honestly, I don't know why, but it did. so I read that post, and it definitely felt like that's who you are. then I read even more of your posts, and personally, I'm convinced

I have nothing to hide, I am Caribou. I came back because I missed this community. I also must say that you're pretty good how you caught on so fast, I am surprised. I didn't say anything that was revealing either.
