I make $28/hour so minimum wage isn't a real concern for me.

But I do know that New York has raised the minimum wage twice in the last couple years. From $7.25 to $8.00 and then more recently $8.75, so I'd have to say no. It's fine how it is. Every state is different so I can't really speak for anyone else.

Chicago just raised it recently too, I don't know what to because it also doesn't really apply to me.

Raising minimum wage just contributes to inflation. No one is really gaining much of anything. My state went from $7.25 to $7.35 and I'm pretty sure it's $7.50 now.

The bigger pay gap there is between me and min wage, the more wealthy I am.
So no, forget low payed people.

If they wanted to fix something they can work on slowing or stopping inflation. Or stop borrowing money Nd stop printing stuffloads of new cash into existence.

Giving more money to poor people won't make them less poor. It only makes stupid people contempt so they continue to fall for the bullstuff.
