There are places that its in order already? Also, it was pretty clear that the mom and pop stores would go down, but I dont think its a big deal.
Those were hard working people, running your own grocery outlet is not easy, now all the money moves into big businesses which doesn't stay in the area either. We are the home of Microsoft and Boeing, however, so this doesn't exactly change many things.

Yes, the minimum wage in Seattle is fifteen dollars. Influx in prices on goods is a direct result of it though, I have no idea how I found $8 dollar filet mignons down by Pike Place.

What I will tell you is that for a small community this could ruin the economy. For us, the effects weren't as devestating. and minimum wage should've been raised over time, not dramatically over night with the passing of a bill.

I think I recall my history teacher (also teaches economics) said that the best economics dude in the USA said the only downside would be the smaller businesses would struggle and inflation would go up slightly.

"The best economics due in the USA"

i bet that's a loving plaque on his door. Also that's way off and underwhelming.

I could see it possibly applied to small businesses that don't see lots of traffic normally,
What about mcdonalds, that is one of the largest businesses. Also almost every crew member is getting min wage. They will raise their prices up a bit no doubt.

15$ did not help the economy, it destroyed small businesses and raised prices on everything

Edit: forget this city
Eat a Mounds Bar man you will feel better.

i think we should go to a currency of hats
but then our metal would be worthless.

considering our currency is backed by hats i think we should be able to exchange our money for hats of equal value

that's the sound investment for me...
