1. Try thinking hard about what they say; be thoughtful. If you focus on how THEY are feeling, you may begin to calm down. This works with nearly everyone. (Basically, put yourself in their shoes.)(The girl asks a question like "How are you?")
You can be direct, and straight up say "I'm a bit shy around people" or you can simply tell whether you're feeling good or bad.
Make sure to follow up with a QUESTION. ("How about you?")
At this point, she will probably answer shortly, or give you a detailed explanation.
This is just a simple example; basically, try to find something interesting in the first sentence they speak to you.
2. They're people too. Appeal to humor, and sympathize if you can! (or should.)
3. Be honest.
4. Be yourself. (Unless ofc you're a serial killer or rapist.)5. Look at their personality rather than their gender.
I'm anxious around just about anyone, and it really helps.
(Also, I don't pretend to be an expert on stuff like this; I mean, who is?)
(This is ironic, as I've recently been chatting with a couple girls at school, and noticed that It goes a lot better if I ask questions. Unfortunately, the one I liked already had a boyfriend, but we're still friends.)
