For me:

The Superior Alien Race that looks like Humans
Earth is home to a vast number of species. Only one of them looks like Homo Sapiens.
Now, imagine a species that looks completely identical to Homo Sapiens has evolved on an alien planet.
Imagine that they can do impossible things, like fly without wings or technology.
That just doesn't sound plausible or imaginative to me.

Being Born Special and having Daddy Issues
Hero never knew who his daddy was, until he learned that his daddy was an alien/demon/mutant who ditched his mommy before his birth!
Now Hero must learn to use his powers and reunite with his daddy, because unlike his mommy, his daddy defines him as a person.

When there's a character that's a complete bitch and yet most of the other fans like em.

Not the kind of thing OP's asking for. That's what is known as "being a huge crybaby."

The first one honestly should actually be "aliens who have giant eyes/different colour/weird details".

I hate how nothing really threatens the protagonist that much. Like they'd much rather have a long melodramatic dialogue before attacking them instead of ambushing them outright.

The "Magical Minority Character"

the M.M.C. is a shoehorned token minority character that's special because they are a minority, with no added character traits or depth beyond being a token character.

Like an all-knowing wise black man or a magical gay guy. It's lazy writing and bad form. Anything that uses a M.M.C. becomes worse because of it.

When there is one guy who's really tough to fight, then a bunch of people just like him all fight and they all turn out to be really weak

Idk man, it's uncanny.

Or the "Worf effect", when a character who's made out to be tough gets taken down or beaten up by everything to pose them as a threat.

Well when it's just him by himself, he puts up a huge fight and is all badass n all, but then when there's more than one of him (like 10 of em), they are really weak. (still called worf effect?)

The worf effect is to make your enemies seem stronger because they could beat the "tough guy". Because star trek used this effect so much, worf stopped being a tough guy and more of a huge wimp.

I mean he got overpowered by loving tribbles
