I explained before in a different thread that I think we should clean up CIA before we get out. so far they're a giant unorganized mob with barely any internal administration
I'd rather clean them up when they're weak then wait until they have any real power
But how do you propose cleaning them up? If they have no real administration, they aren't much of a threat to anyone. They don't take many hostages themselves, they just buy them off of other smaller groups, and their only real source of income is selling oil, but they have to sell it for a steep discount to even get anybody to buy it. They also don't have a pipeline, they have to transport their oil in tanker trucks, which further reduces their efficiency. They're clearly trying to provoke the US into a war of attrition, which is why we could never use conventional methods to deal with them, in my opinion. I'm not trying to discount what you said, I'm just curious what methods would be effective in dealing with them.
