I hate my verizon jetpack.

But it is
The capitalization is the M doesn't change anything (apart from 'proper'ness if you want to be technical, it should always be capital)
The b capitalization is the same. Therefore it is the same unit

b = bit
B = byte
There's nothing more to it
but its likely that zanaran was meaning to put MB/s
because why else would he type out the exact same information that was already on display on the picture he posted

I'll save him some time andyou're welcome
Osht we got a winner

millibits per second!

2.9 Mb == 362.5 KB

Thanks verizon.

That looks like the speed of your Wi-Fi adapter
thats because it is lol

really i find my internet fast enough lol

The m should always be capitalized because it stands for mega
the b should be capitalized depending on what unit it is.
b=bit and B=byte
for those who don't know, there are 8 bits in a byte, so yeah, the b does matter.
your internet speed from speedtest and what cable companies advertise uses bits, or b (most are familiar with Mb)
Downloading things measures in bytes, or B (most are familiar with MB)

It kinda explains why Comcast is so cheap because I have had the same. Modem for 3 years and not once have they said that it is out of date and that we should get the new one to get the speeds we pay for. With the old modem on an external router we had 15-23 Mbps Download with a ping of like 100.

The new modem is now installed.
Modem's Wifi Network 4.5Gz: 40mbps, 35ms ping
Modem's Wifi Network 5Gz: 45-55mbps, 10ms ping
External Router Wifi Network 4.5-5Gz: 45mbps, 15ms ping

That's quite the difference from the old one... Thanks for ripping us off for 2 years.

Its cheaper just to buy your own modem and not pay the monthly fees. A good modem will pay itself in one year.

The fee is only $5
And they say we need to have it with the new X11 boxes because soon they will be storing all of their DVR recordings on cloud instead and that modem is the only one that currently supports that

EDIT: they recently changed it to $10
