They toss you the helmet after the first gesture, but the helicopter being shaken causes it to hit the floor and roll to your feet.

It is very scratched, more than a bit burned, and has a piece of shrapnel about the size of a fingernail jutting out of the rear. The visor has been completely shattered, revealing the broken optics within. Inspecting the inside reveals it to be clear of blood, and with no signs that anything penetrated all the way through.
