: Your search group will be allowed an extension, so long as you leave in the next fifteen seconds. I swear on my honor as an officer of the Imperium that no harm will come to them, nor will they be imprisoned.

Virvel speaks up on the squadron frequency, so Paladius can't hear.
: Screw that, we can dunk a handful of schoolkids no problem!
: Even if we do, they'll just send more, and the second group won't warn us before attacking.
: Musashi's right, we should leave.

~5 seconds remain before the Imperials open fire (so, basically just long enough for Tippy and Gladiator to state their intent).

"We found her helmet and a trail of blood. It seems she must have gotten out of her seat, but she didn't get far. There's also a medkit and a pool of blood. No other evidence. We haven't found her," he says.

Jaakko is tense and angry that the search is cut short and fruitless.

: Your men on the ground will have five minutes to return to their aircraft, then we will ensure it returns to your territory.
: Five minutes? They've been down there almost a half an hour, that's not a lot of time.
: It is more than you have ever offered us. Your time is up, are you leaving or not?
: Fine. But you had better hold up your end of the bargain.

Kommandant and Virvel turn back to leave the area, as do Musashi and Yamashiro.
: [Ma'am? Are you alright?]
: [I'm fine. Let's just go.]



Crash and Tempest are contacted by the chopper pilot.
: stuff. I dunno if any of you guys heard that, but I gotta be in the air in five. Get the hell back here, double time!

You've strayed quite far from the chopper during your search, but at a full sprint you should be able to make it back to the chopper with time to spare, assuming you know where you're going and barring any sudden and horrific accidents.

"Come on Matsumoto, give me a signature, leaving is not my cup of tea." She says to herself frustrated.

Jaakko starts his run towards the Chopper, his eyes looking between the path in front of him and checking that he's going to right way.

Faw turns around and starts to exit the zone.

You spot no downed pilots on your way out of the airspace.

"Gods damn them! C'mon!"
Jaakko starts his run towards the Chopper, his eyes looking between the path in front of him and checking that he's going to right way.

Jaakko and Gus set off for the chopper, and the former almost gets the pair lost until the latter points out the correct way to get back. They both climb aboard the chopper with just under a minute to spare, finding the two medics already aboard. A few seconds later, Sgt Nylund and Pvt Rask reach the chopper, and it is able to take off without leaving anyone behind. The allied jets are long gone by this point, meaning you are the only Aesthian aircraft in a sky full of Typhoons.

Jaakko limps as he goes up the ramp, his old gunshot wound agitated. He eases himself into a seat and bangs his head off of the wall of the Hip, panting.

"Paladius..." he pants, "that name sounds too familiar."

"This isn't over guys, we will find Matsumoto, even if i have to spend the rest of this campaign to do it."

Faw takes a look at his radar. The chopper is getting farther and farther away from his position before disappearing entirely.

"I'm worried about this. I don't think they'd shoot the chopper down, but they have a perfect opportunity to capture it if they wanted to."

Jaakko limps as he goes up the ramp, his old gunshot wound agitated. He eases himself into a seat and bangs his head off of the wall of the Hip, panting.

"Paladius..." he pants, "that name sounds too familiar."

: Take it you guys didn't find her down there either?

[Mr. Hurricane]

"No,"

Jaakko switches to the pilots' channels.

"I think from what we've seen- down here, that it's very likely- the Imperials got her. With- all that blood down there-, I don't think she got away- under her own power-," he pants, "But Izzy seems- seems too interested in this place- maybe they haven't got her- I wish I knew."

Jaakko keels over and takes the magazine out of his gun, cycling it. The round falls out the ejection port. Jaakko struggled to reach down and grab it over the rigid ballistic plates and gear strapped to his chest. He grabs it and puts it back in to the magazine, then stuffs the mag back in its pouch.

"You didn't find a body. Therefore this isn't over. She could still be alive out there!" Tippy snaps
